Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Janus I Communication Interculturelle (Agata Mich, sole trader, Lyon, France): language training, interpreting, on-site support, translation and intercultural consulting. Any order implies unconditional acceptance of these terms.

2. Quotes and Orders

All services are preceded by a free, no-obligation quote, valid for 30 days. An order is confirmed by returning the signed quote (or written confirmation by email) and, where applicable, payment of the deposit.

3. Pricing

Prices are quoted in euros excluding VAT. The applicable VAT rate is that in force on the invoice date. JANUS reserves the right to modify its prices at any time; services ordered before any change are invoiced at the accepted quote rate.

4. Payment Terms

• ◆Training: 30% deposit on order, balance on receipt of invoice (30-day payment term).
• ◆Interpreting / on-site support: full payment 7 days before the assignment, unless otherwise agreed.
• ◆Translation: payment on delivery, 15-day term.

Payment by bank transfer (details on invoice). Late payment penalties of 3× the legal rate apply automatically, plus a flat-rate recovery fee of €40.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• ◆Training: free cancellation up to 15 days before start. 15–7 days: 50% of total. Under 7 days: 100%.
• ◆Interpreting / on-site: free cancellation up to 10 days before. 10–3 days: 50%. Under 3 days: 100%.

Any reschedule requested less than 5 working days before the planned date incurs a rescheduling fee of 20% of the total amount.

6. Client Obligations

The client undertakes to provide all information necessary for the proper delivery of services (training materials, glossaries, assignment context) within agreed timeframes. Any client-caused delay may result in an equivalent extension to the delivery deadline.

7. Confidentiality

JANUS undertakes to maintain strict confidentiality over all information communicated in the course of its assignments. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be signed on request before any sensitive assignment.

8. Training — Qualiopi and Funding

JANUS holds Qualiopi certification (no. 84692002569), enabling training to be funded by skills operators (OPCOs), the CPF, France Travail and company training plans (PDC). JANUS assists clients with funding applications but cannot guarantee their approval, which depends on third-party organisations.

9. Liability

JANUS undertakes to perform its services with all due care and diligence. Its liability is limited to the amount of the service in question. JANUS shall not be held liable for any commercial consequences arising from the outcome of negotiations in which it participated as interpreter or consultant.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought first. Failing that, the courts of Lyon, France shall have sole jurisdiction.
